a survey on viewpoints of emergency ward staff in teaching   hospitals of qazvin university of medical sciences   n. peiravi [1] , sh. shams [2] , b. delgoshai [3]     abstract:   introduction: without having an active emergency and trauma center, no hospital can serve effectively because the effectiveness of other hospital services depends on the function of this part. the current study has been done to compare the management of the emergency ward in qazvin teaching hospitals.   methods & materials: this comparative study has pursued the staff 's viewpoints of emergency ward managements. all staff that work in emergency ward were included in this study. the information was collected through a questionnaire based on general hospital assessment checklists of ministry of health. the questionnaire included four parts: planning and organizing, personnel training, activity and operation of emergency ward, and available space and equipment.   results: the results of this study showed that the staff 's viewpoints of emergency ward management in the mentioned four parts, in comparison with existing standards, in hospital number 4, 1, 2 and 3 were respectively 61.04%, 57.38%, 57.15%, 50.93%.   conclusion: the findings show that there are some deficiencies in emergency ward management in comparison with standards of ministry of health, so there is need to a special and continuous attention in order to improve as much as possible.   key words: management, emergency, teaching hospital.   address: mr. peiravi, no. 35, laleh alley, saadat ave., qazvin   [1] m.sci of medical and health scruice managment   [2] instructor of nursing, urmia university of medical sciences   [3] assisstant professor of management, urmia university of medical sciences
